Big Iron Fishing Pole

One of the best fishing poles in World of Warcraft is the Big Iron Fishing Pole. Anyone who wants to max out their fishing ability is going to need it at one point.

It only comes from one place and that is inside the cage traps on the ocean floor near the Horde town on the West coast of Desolace. If you head out near the town there (the area is green and grassy unlike the rest of Desolace) and go into the water directly west of the dock and swim down you will find traps littering the ocean ground there. When you open them you will either find shellfish, spawn a mob, or…get this rare fishing pole.

I was able to find 2 of these in a fair amount of time and guess what? They sell on my AH for over 25 gold! A map will be included within the next update.

Farming Ghost Mushrooms With a Herbalist

To start gathering Ghost Mushrooms in World of Warcraft you will need to have the herbalist skills. Your Herbalism level should be around level 245. Ghost Mushrooms are located in a little cave called Hinterlands. This guide can be used by both Alliance and Horde characters. You can easily gather about 10-25 gold per hour. Your character should be at least level 44, the higher the better however. The mobs in the cave are level 46-48.

Hunting Grounds:
Simply put, SKULL ROCK, in the Hinterlands. Consult the provided map below in order to get to Skull Rock. Note that the entrance to the cave is on the north side, and faces the river… even though the map makes it seem like the cave opens to the south.

Starting A World of Warcraft Herbalist

Get to at least level 5 and learn the herbalism profession. Already we know that Herbalism is a very money ridden profession, and with that, comes the idea that with just a little effort, you can be rich with only a few hours work. This works the best if you are the Undead race, but also will work as Human, or Tauren. Like stated before, be sure to pick up the herbalism profession (and for added bonus, go with mining).

Now if you do go with herbalism, stick with Find Herbs most of the time, as the herb we are looking for sells more then copper at the lower levels. From this point we are now going to travel outside of the newbie area, and into the real world in search of, yes, you guessed it, silverleaf. Silverleaf is EXTREMELY abundant in the early and second areas of the game, but even more abundant in the Undead and Human areas.

Why this is I’m not sure, but after farming only one stack of silverleaf, you can sell it on the Auction House for as much as 1gold 25silver. Yes, for only at most 10 minutes work, 1g 25s for a level 10. Too good to be true? Well, the lowest I’ve seen silverleaf go for is 85s, so still even then, at that level anything over 20s is a lot, believe me, I know. You don’t even need a map for this, as with the “Find Herbs” trait you can easily find those abundant silverleaf no matter where you are. All but some servers may have a more crippled economy in the lines of silverleaf, give it a few days and watch the price skyrocket.

Copper Mining Tip

his is a simple tip on how to make money at low level. Would be easier if you were an Orc or Troll because of their starting location. Orcs and Troll starts in durotar, for other races you will need to travel a bit further but it should all work pretty well.

You will need to become a Journeyman miner and purchase a mining pick to begin. Durotar has the highest number of copper veins so would be the most ideal place. Once you’ve collected a good amount of copper ore, return to the forge and smelt them. Once your copper ore is turned in bars, follow the path from Razor Hill north to Ogrimmar and then head to the auction house. Talk to one of the auctioneers and set price to 40 silver for buyout and make the price 45-60 silver per 20 copper bars. I’ve seen stacks of copper bars go for 4g but avg seems more around 80s-1g. Be sure to check the prices in the AH first before listing. This is an ideal way to make money at low level. Below is a map of Durotar.

WoW Mining Guide

Mining in World of Warcraft is one of the best gold makers. Just be sure to sell your stuff in the Auction House in smelted stacks. The Buy Out option is one of your best advantages when you sell so make sure you use it. It’s usually best to smelt copper and tin into bronze or vice Versa. Be sure to check the going price and figure out if selling the bases or the product will sell for more.

Lower level mining skill of course wouldn’t make you as much as being on top of the chart and we know it may be a little difficult or frustrating to level. It may take about 1 hour to get to tin level so its not too bad. However tin is a little more aggravating. Near ashenvale there is a place with harpies that has a few nice spots. From there stick to the wall and go south, head over to South Barrens. Go around Scorpid, Bristleback and Razormane and you should be able to level your tin in no time.

Mithril is the key to making the most World of Warcraft gold. Engineering and Blacksmiths both need massive amounts to produce the items with their skills. Mithril usually sells off extremely fast a nice price in the auction house.

In southern Kalimdor you’ll find Tanaris, a level 40-50 zone. There are many mineral ores that will make you filthy rich. You can start at Gadgetzan and cut across the desert to start. Be sure to check all the rocks and croppings along the way. The place is dangerous with alot of spawns. Travel along the edge, and then back along the outter boundary circling the map. Thistleshrub valley also has a few hot spots along with Un’Goro crater, Zul’Farrak and the areas close to Gadgetzan. Mining mithril may be a bit hard at low level, but the having the copper and tin will help you get some extra gold to spare until higher level. If you’re level 50 you should be able to farm mithril fine.

Fishing at Lower Levels

Most guides written are for higher level players, but here’s a neat way for lower level characters to make some easy gold. You’ll need to be around Level 20 or so for this one. You should be able to make anywhere from 50s-1g per fish selling on the AH. Very easy to make 50g per day – even at a low level!

Whether you play Horde or Alliance, see if you can get your character into the Barrens. If you’re an Alliance player, be careful of going too near the guards in the towns. It’s not difficult to run through the Barrens from either Ashenvale or Thousand Needles or even Ratchet.Just be wary of the Horde guards.

Let’s get into making some gold.

Getting the Recipe

First up, you’ll need a recipe to learn how to cook the Savory Deviate Delight. The recipe is a random drop throughout the Barrens. Try killing Razormanes, Venture Co. Drudgers, Great Barrens Kodos, Zhevras, Plainstriders and Hyenas. If you’ve got the patience, you’ll eventually get the recipe to drop.

If you don’t have the time or patience to grind for the recipe, then you can buy a recipe on AH – but be warned. It’s not cheap.

Now you have the recipe, it’s time to go fishing.

Getting the Fish

Your fishing skills should be around 50 if you’re using bait or around 120 if you’re not using bait. Once in the Barrens, travel to either the Forgotten Pools or the Lushwater Oasis. These two tend to have the highest drop rate.

The Stagnant Oasis will also drop Deviate Fish, but be a little more careful here as there are more mobs to fight off.

The other place worth fishing is the Wailing Caverns.

Effects

If you eat the Deviate Fish you catch, your character will spontaneously break into dance or wave a random people. The raw fish can also stun you for 30 seconds or bless you for 30 minutes. The most fun side-effect of eating a raw Deviate Fish was receiving the buff “Party Fever”. My character randomly laughed, clapped and did the chicken dance!

If you cook the Deviate Fish with Mild Spices, you end up with Savory Deviate Delights. These are not only fun, but they’re a great way to make some quick gold on the AH. The Savory Deviate Delights sell really well on most servers because they’re fun.

Here are some of the events a Savory Deviate Delight have been known to cause:

Yaaarrrr – turns you into a pirate for 60 minutes
Flip Out – turns you into a ninja for 60 minutes

Farming Arcanist Doan With The Hunter & Mage

It will require a group of 2, a mage and a hunter. Both of you must be at least lvl 54 or if you`re strong enough then lvl 50 is ok.

Tto start, go to Scarlet Monastery library side, enter i.! First starts mage, make yourself through the mobs, mage is good because you can blink around them. Your best weapon is blink, if you see a guard block ahead, just blink from front to them back. Get to Arcanist Doan and wait for the hunter.

Hunter starts little bit after the mage starts. Turn on your aspect of monkey, that will help you dodge enemy strikes a lot, when you get some aggro, and you see a free spot, just run and feign death, thats it they all are cheated and you can wait for cooldown and make your way through the guards again until you get to Arcanist Doan. Finally kill Arcanist Doan, and one of you must be enchanter.

He drops 2 blue items, which disenchants in shard that could be sold by 6g each, its about 12 gold per one run.. Blizzard created an anti-instance farming system that only allows you to do 5 runs per hour, that means you can earn 60g per hour. 60:2 = 30 gold for you, 30 gold for your friend.. Enjoy!

Farming The Golden Egg with A Rogue

This is a high end WoW gold farming strategy. It is safe and you will not get banned for doing this quest. This strategy works well on normal retail WoW. From my experience, the minimum you should be able to make is 60 gold an hour. Normal is around 100g. There were occasions where I’ve gotten about 200g an hour.

To start this guide, you must be a Rogue, preferably at level 60. You must have high lock picking skills, 300 ideal. 280 would be a bare minimum. You will also need “Ninja Agro Avoidance” skills or you will be getting a whooping. If there are any lag, server or instance problems, you may run into some problems. Best to do this during off peak hours and on week days.

If you want to make the most out of this guide, get +speed on boots, set all your talents for this strategy. Max stealth, max speed stealthed, insta cool down rogue skills etc. Sprint often, have a friend or a second account to reset the instance. Should only take about 30-20 seconds of your time to reset.

Let’s start the guide shall we?
Go to Black Rock Spire and enter instance, follow the white line and go thru the doorway to the right:
Hop down and cut thru the left doorway, there will be 2 roving guards in the tiny hallway, just ninja around them.

When you come out of the doorway look to your right and walk to the edge. The box with the white edit around it is your primary target, this box only spawns about 50% of the time. If the chest is not there, still continue and check for Bannok, (see below) if Bannok is not there, then reset instance now. Don’t worry if you do not see the chest there 4 or 5 times in a row, this is just averages and sometimes you will see it there 4-5 times in a row. Now hug the wall and jump down to a ledge, go straight, then jump down to the other ledge, turn left and go to edge but DO NOT jump off.

Now you need to set a targeting macro, “/target bannok” this is an elite mob that ALWAYS drops a blue,(vendor trash as it BOP and none of the items are for Rogues) and sometimes drops the BP for the Arcanite Reaper which I normally sell for 250g with a 300g buyout. At one point I had 3 of these so I lowered the price a little to get rid of the extras. He is a very weak 59 elite, easy for a Rogue, just DO NOT GET agro or you are toast. Bannok is very rare spawn, I would guess 1 out of 30-50 runs, so just keep your eyes open. If Bannok is not there you will normally target a rat. If Bannok is not here and chest did not spawn then reset instance now. If chest did spawn then follow white line, yes it is a big jump down and you get no damage as a Rogue, and please do not jump on top of the mobs down there LOL!!!

Note:

Bannok ONLY spawns at 3 places, “1” and “2” are both in huts and are marked with edits. The third place is at the end of the little Horde city to the left, you will have to pull him with a gun or bow to avoid agro if he is at location 3. You can pull Bannok thru other agro WITHOUT getting the additional agro, they are “different family” mobs.

Continue and follow white line, avoiding agro:
Side Note… Cry… Death in here is extremely painful and time consuming, 90% of your deaths will be from the spiders… general rule of thumb if your stealth is maxed: “as long as one of their legs do not touch you, you are fine”.
WTF, I died… sigh…and the killer walk back…at the top you must use your agro skills here….(go thru Indiana Jones door at end of white line) follow white line… That Fat Ogre roams from the chest to his current position and back either hit the chest when he is roaming or… (YOU MUST HUG WALL when opening chest or you will get agro)

Sap his ass and open chest. Note sapping him will put you “in combat” after you loot chest you can whack him once and jump off edge and give him 15 seconds to exit combat mode, OR waste a vanish to exit combat mode. Ledge you need to go too is behind you, when you open chest. (You were on the ledge before…) Another 16 slot container??? But I already have 4…. :)

Enjoy the Phat loot… Oh my, not another Mooncloth recipe.. What am I going to do with all the coin from the AH???

If you “burn” this strat, it should take you no longer then 45 seconds to see if chest or Bannok is in the instance. If the chest is there it takes no longer then 2 minutes.

P.S. TO INSTANTLY RESET ANY INSTANCE, WHEN YOU ARE DONE WITH THE INSTANCE DO THIS:

1. INVITE SOMEONE TO JOIN GROUP.
2. LEAVE GROUP.
3. LOG OUT.
4. LOG IN AND YOU WILL BE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE NEW INSTANCE.
